The courses are structured around a set of power point presentations and write ups which gives them enough access to the resource material so that each candidate can place himself or herself in the context of the ‘big picture’. Going through various exercises, self evaluation and reflection, the course helps the candidate to organize his own skills to suit any situation.

Additionally, for aspiring technocrats, the programme not only focuses on the Behaviour and Interview wining strategies but also aims to improve Technical competency of a candidate. We have included a lots of Technical training like Languages ( Java. EJB,JSP, J2EE , PHP, VB.NET, C & C++ ), RDBMS (Concepts, SQL, Oracle & MySQL), Networking (Router, Switch, Hubs, Wireless access points etc, along with LAN,VLAN & WAN realization), Testing ( Methods, Types, Test Cases & Data, Statistical Quality Control, Tools etc), Quality Model concepts (ISO 9000, CMM, CMMi, PCMM etc).

Purpose:-
The course is designed to assist individuals to organize their individual skills to develop his/her personality along with orientation on corporate norms and etiquette, which is much required in becoming a successful professional.

Highlights:-
The course aims at developing the student through a graduated Process. First the current status of a student is assessed by the way of Psychometric Testing & Analysis, Johari Window, SWOT Analysis, Testing the Potential & Identifying the Barriers of the students. The objective of the first phase is Drawing Personal Action Plan of individual students.

Once the Personal Action Plan is drawn for a particular student, then the focus shifts to the Skill Development section. The first exercise is based on building up the Confidence & Communication Ability of a Student. This is done through various exercises and Game playing, Accent & Voice Modulation Training etc. We teach the concept and application of Pro-activeness, Goal Setting, Proper Time Management, Thinking Win-Win etc.

The Program aims at the increase of the Achievement Motivation Factor, thereby assisting the individual to address his shortcomings and making room for self development. The process intensively focuses on activity based learning like Group Discussions and Mock Interviews along with Presentation Skills and Public Speaking. The activity based learning method helps the candidate to instantly realise his drawbacks and work in a methodological manner for improvement.

In the Third Phase of the Training we focus to build Technical Competencies for aspiring technocrats. As already explained in the course description, a number of Technical Subjects are to be covered.

As the aim of this training is to assist the students to secure jobs hence lots of Interview Topics are covered in this module starting from Resume Writing technique, Job Search Technique, Finding out Opportunities to Group Discussion, Interview Processes, Handling Questions and Mock Interviews.

We feel that all of the students may not go for IT career hence we also show and guide our students for CAT / GMAT / MAT preparation for Management Studies, GATE / NET preparation for M.Tech Studies and SAT / GRE / TOEFL for Foreign University studies.

This course also covers the basic training for Entrepreneurship & Business Incubation.

As far as the methodology is concerned we believe practice is the Key. With Knowledge being the foundation and Skill being extremely essential, it is ultimately Motivation that becomes the deciding factor. So we focus on Practice.

Admission to B. Optm., Hospital Management
TIG Para – Medical School offers Bachelor in Optometry and Vision science degree course (B. Optm) with the affiliation of West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The Optometry and Vision Science course has a well-defined curriculum, which along with the Eye hospital Internship arms the candidates with the confidence to proceed with a career in the field. An individual, after completion of the course will not only have the employment scope that exists but also can set up their own chambers or be consultants in any optical related enterprises or in the chambers of the ophthalmologists. The concerned bodies have decided to make it mandatory for all optometry related enterprises to have optometrist(s). The Higher Education scope in M. Optometry for B. Optometry degree holders has made the course further attractive.

The School also offers a three year course of Bachelor of Hospital Management with the affiliation of WBUT which enables and prepares aspiring candidates to enter the field of Healthcare & Hospital Management to have a purposeful and enriching career. Prominence of this course in India is recent and with the advent of new age hospitals and healthcare facilities, the course is designed to be flexible to stimulate and motivate candidates to become thinkers, planners, decision makers and implementers.

Cellular Automata Research Lab (CARL) is dedicated for research and development of CA based Computing Model. It has been established by Techno India Group (TIG) in May 2005 to promote research in the field of theory and applications of Cellular Automata (CA).
Highly talented faculty members have carried out researches in engineering fields and have submitted their thesis.
Researches in the fields of Cellular Automata, VLSI design, Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Computing are presently being conducted.
The Centre of Excellence of TIG at Salt Lake has been developed to act as the nucleus for all research activities and the engineering colleges under the Group achieving excellence in a particular area are being linked to this focal point, thereby, enabling the research scholars to access Hi-tech Research Facilities.

Introduction:
"Pen is mightier than sword” is a well-known proverb. However, it is of much more importance to young, aspiring scribes. Techno India for the first time since inception has the privilege of staring the department of Media Science. Media Science is an integrated 3 years UG course under the West Bengal of Technology. Today human beings are thriving in an age of Infotainment. Media play a pivotal role in modern society. Youngsters with understanding mind, analytical views, creative passion & of course a zeal for penning down are gladly welcome to join this course. Step into the world of Media with confidence is the only mantra for the Generation Next.
Faculty/ies:
Apart from the full time faculty in the department, the students have an opportunity to have interactive sessions with guest faculties from DD Kolkata, AIR, ABP, The Statesman a few to mention only. Dramatists like Rudra Prasad Sengupta, Manoj Mitra, Satinath Mukherjee, Asit Basu encourage the budding minds giving them the best advice required in the Stage/Production. Camera, Roll, Action is the rolling stone of media & the students have enormous opportunities to shape themselves before stepping in the profession.
